Department of Mechanical Engineering

The Department was established on 1 January 2014 on the basis of the Departments of Mechanics of Solids, Engineering Design, and Theoretical Mechanics. One of the biggest departments of the Faculty continues the scientific research of the employees of the above-mentioned departments in the fields of micromechanical systems engineering, mechanics of structures and composites, and vibroacoustic and curates study programs of Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor and Master degree).

Field of research: Mechanical Engineering. Field of study: Mechanical Engineering.

Academic employees of the Department of Mechanical Engineering research activities perform in Experimental and Computational Mechanics research group.

The R&D themes to be developed:

– Unmanned platforms (sea, air, land)*

– Composite materials, structure, and manufacturing technologies*

– Micromechanics systems and structures*

– Biomedical engineering and health technologies*

– Behaviour of vehicle structures
