Investigation and prediction of the influence of multicycle loads on the behavior of 3D printed polymeric footwear elements prototypes 3D FOOTWELEM

Project no.: 09.3.3-LMT-K-712-22-0157

Project description:

The recent intensive use of 3D printing technologies in various areas of life allows manufacturers to accelerate the process of developing new products, expanding the possibilities of developing the modern design of various products. These technologies allow to develop of the market of personalized products allows to quickly and qualitatively adapt the product to the individual physiological needs of a particular consumer. In many cases, 3D printing technologies could be a great opportunity for the quick and high-quality realization of both individual orders and series production product ideas. One of the product groups that have a significant impact on a person’s healthy physical condition is high-quality footwear, which determines the posture of the spine, deformities of the leg bones, the fatigue of muscular feet, and pain. The same is important for high-quality sports shoes, the emerging posture of children, orthopaedic products for wives with various physiological problems.

Project funding:

Project is funded by EU Structural Funds according to the 2014–2020 Operational Programme for the European Union Funds’ Investments priority “Development of scientific competence of researchers, other researchers, students through practical scientific activities” under Measure No. 09.3.3-LMT-K-712.

Project results:

In order to accelerate the application of 3D printing technologies in the development and production of customized footwear, it is expedient to expand the knowledge about the behaviour of complex sole spatial lattice structures under simulated conditions. The aim of this work is the development of prototypes of 3D printed footwear structural elements, theoretical and experimental research of resistance to multiple loads.
