The aim of the practice is to investigate the morphology, properties and mechanism of pathogen viability of microbiocidal polymeric coatings created to protect surfaces of structural elements of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems against the accumulation and multiplication of pathogenic microorganisms.
Project results:
Morphology and mechanical properties of the polyvinyl butyral compositions with additives of non-toxic biocides (2-mercaptopyridine N-oxide sodium salt, 5-chloro-2- (2,4-dichlorophenoxy) phenol, sodium pentachlorophenate, etc.) were investigated. The dependence of surface tension, adhesion interactions on various surfaces and the biocidal mechanism upon coating nature was analyzed.
Period of project implementation: 2019-07-01 - 2019-08-31
