The Department of Production Engineering of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Design of the Kaunas University of Technology successfully cooperates with many Lithuanian textile companies in carrying out various scientific and study projects, training students and future employees of textile companies. One such company is UAB “Lincasa”, a linen fabric and woolen and semi-woolen blanket production company located in Samylai (Kaunas district, Lithuania).
It has been cooperating with Kaunas University of Technology in various research and study projects since 2020. Recently, the company is an associate partner of the ERASMUS+ KA project “4DCulture”. During the implementation of this and previous projects, “Lincasa” actively helps the project partners to achieve the project goals by producing a whole series of fabric collections – the collection of double-layer spatial linen fabrics “Linomagija”, the collection of double-layer linen fabrics and woolen blankets “Sentimentai” on the theme of Lithuanian seaside and national heritage, the collection of linen tablecloths with motifs of folk fabrics “Puota”, the collection of double-layered linen/wool blankets “Pavasario šaukliai” with motifs of birds, etc.
The company also specializes in the design and production of folk fabric reconstructions, cooperates not only with the Kaunas University of Technology, but also with Lithuanian museums, folk music ensembles, etc.
