The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Design has been officially welcomed as a Full Member of the Cumulus Association, the global network for art and design education.
The announcement was made during the Cumulus General Assembly on June 6, 2025, in Nantes, France. KTU now joins nearly 400 institutions from 71 countries, marking a significant step in strengthening its international ties in the fields of design and sustainability.
This membership coincides with the launch of KTU’s new international master’s program “Design for Sustainable Future,” which reflects the faculty’s commitment to sustainability, interdisciplinary design thinking, and global collaboration. The program aims to prepare professionals capable of creating sustainable solutions for the complex challenges of the future.
Becoming a member of Cumulus will provide new opportunities for collaboration, student and staff exchange, and joint research initiatives with leading universities and design schools around the world.
