During Global Innovation Summit 2024 which took place on 13-14 June in Turkey, KTU researchers received an award for Eureka research project „Technology for obtaining an innovative antimicrobial, non-active medical dressing through the use of indigenous bioresources (NonActivPans)“. The project was implemented with partners from Romania and MB Biofita.

During the project was developmented a technology for the production of antibiotic-free antimicrobial medical wound dressings using compositions based on animal waste (bovine, rabbit and other hides and skins, sheep wool).
