Lithuanian Research Council invites lithuanian and foreign students to summer internships

The Lithuanian Science Council (LSC) Summer Research Internship is an instrument for students, which aims to provide students with the opportunity to carry out scientific research in practice.

Internship period. The internship will take place from July to August 2024.

Participants. The competition is open to first-, second- and full-time students, except for those who are in their final year of study at the time of application. Students must have a weighted average of at least 8 points in all the subjects studied in their last semester.

Funding. Students will receive a grant of EUR 2 000 (EUR 1 000 per month). In addition to the scholarships, LMT will also provide funding for internships. For foreign students or students who carry out their summer internship in a Lithuanian research institution located in a city other than the intended location of the summer internship, additional funds for accommodation will be provided.

Submission of applications. Applications (applications for participation in the competition) are submitted via the LMT system https://projektai.lmt.lt/#login. via electronic government. Once logged in, the account type ‘student’ must be selected. Students may select up to 2 topics of interest, to be implemented in any higher education institution. The topics offered by KTU are listed in the table below.

Documents to be submitted. The application must be accompanied by the following documents:

1) curriculum vitae,

2) a certificate of study results (certificates for project applications KTU students must order in the AIS system,

3) motivation letter.

Application deadline. The deadline for submitting applications for the summer internship competition implemented by LMT is 29 May 2024 at 16:00.
