The European Patent Office approved the patent “System for the formation of microstructures in polymeric materials (EP 4166245 B1)” by a team of scientists from the field of Mechanical Engineering.
Researchers from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Design and the Institute of Mechatronics have patented a thermal tool for the formation of micro- and macrostructures in polymers.
The formation tool presented in this patent is distinguished by the fact that it does not have an additional heating element and uses magnetostriction and electromagnetic induction to generate oscillations and temperature.
